Somalia’s Hand Painted Storefronts

These shopfronts aren’t naive really; they are created by local artists, and quite accomplished, spatially. They are so vibrant and joyful. Especially these molar murals.

This reminds me of a great exhibition at the Brighton Museum many years ago, of painted adverts for haircuts from Africa. This was pre-digital else I would link…
